ABOUT PACK 668

WHO WE ARE

  • Pack 668's Scouts primarily attend Lakeridge Elementary and Island Park Elementary but we welcome anyone to join us - if you have friends in our pack or if we are a fit for what you want out of Scouting.

  • Pack 668 is made up of approximately 40 boys in grades K-5, along with their families.

  • Pack 668 invites girls and their families to join us now that girls are a part of Cub Scouts (as of 2018).

  • Pack 668's leadership are all volunteers with children in our Pack.

  • Pack 668's charter organization is the Rotary Club of Mercer Island, an organization with no religious affiliation.

WHAT WE DO

  • Pack 668 hikes and snowshoes annually.

  • Naturally, the Pack goes camping  and attends a summer camp.

  • Pack meetings include activities like Pinewood Derby, Raingutter Regatta, Space Derby and even rocketry!

  • The pack also does service projects like park clean-ups.

  • Overall, the Pack makes Scouts more capable, more confident, and better citizens.

WHEN DO WE MEET

  • Pack 668 usually meets once a month as a pack from September through June. Pack meetings host some of our major events, such as the Pinewood Derby.

  • Pack 668 dens usually meet individually once a month and typically follow activities and events recommended by the Scout Handbook for rank advancement within that den's level.

  • Pack 668 holds additional events, such as campouts and hikes mixed in throughout the non-summer months.

  • Summer activities are optional and not central to rank advancement.

WHERE DO WE MEET

  • Pack 668's Mercer Island footprint tilts toward the South End of the Island.  But it's a small island and you'll no doubt know/meet people you have/will run across in other kids activities.

  • Pack 668 holds most indoor pack meetings in at the Congregational Church on Mercer Island.

  • Den meetings are commonly at the Mercer Island library or local parks.

  • Pack 668 will hike or snowshoe the Cascades, typically somewhere in the I-90 corridor.
